The Sportverein office is located in the basement at the end of the corridor after the entrance to the gym. Office hours are: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 to 10:00.
Annual General Meeting Our Sportverein members will be cordially invited via email to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Sportverein ISF Sindlingen e.V. This will take place on May 30th at 16:30 in the sports cafeteria of ISF International School Frankfurt Rhein-Main. The Board is also looking for additional board members. Badminton New: U14 and Varsity will take place from 16:30 and on Tuesdays and Fridays in Term III. ISF Sportsverein is offering a day full of badminton on May 5th from 10:00 to 15:00 to improve the clear and the badminton trails. Please bring your own food and drink. Our members are invited on May 6th to to participate in the 7th Steinbacher Altkönigturnier, which will be held at TuS-Steinbach, Altkönighalle Steinbach, Waldstraße, 61449 Steinbach/Ts. Sign-in deadline for doubles is April 27th and more information is available from your badminton coaches or our SV Office.
Basketball As the basketball season has already finished, we are continuing with training and are offering “OPEN BASKETBALL Training” for all our members in Period 10 (16.30-18.00) – they can come every Monday (big gym), Tuesday (outside), Wednesday (big gym) and Thursday (big gym).

Football In Term III we have already started with outdoor sessions for all groups. Our Term III training times are:
G-Youth – Mondays and Wednesdays from 15.25 to 16.15

Golf ISF Sportverein is hosting the annual Fundraising tournament on April 30th at GC Hof Hausen vor der Sonne from 5pm onwards. Format: 9 holes, Chapman Foursome, 2 adults and 2 children in one flight. Players in this tournament are required to provide proof of their handicap. Awards will be presented after the tournament. Gymnastics Our gymnasts will take their British Gymnastics examinations during their practice sessions in the last week of April: Intermediate on Monday April 23rd PS Gymnastics on Tuesday April 24th Beginner Gymnastics on Tuesday April 24th Advanced Gymnastics on Thursday April 26th
All female gymnasts must wear the blue SV leotard. They should also wear either gym shoes/slippers or go in their bare feet, and longer hair must be pulled back (ponytail). Boys should wear our blue shorts and a tucked-in tee shirt (GISST shirt).

Swimming Swim Team The Interschool Swimming Gala for Grade 2-5 students is coming this weekend. Four international schools including ISF will compete against each other on April 20th and April 21st at ISF. We kindly ask for food donations and parental support for the food stand. At the same time three Berlin schools will swim their GISST races at ISF. On Saturday, April 21st, ISF will finally present the results of the Annual GISST Swim Championships.
Most of our Junior team swimmers took part in a Swim Camp (7.25 hrs swim training, 1.5 hrs jogging, 1.5 hrs dryland, 2,75 hrs team building) last weekend at ISF: Lulu Moser, SeoHyeon Hong, Hyejoo Ro, Zibo Wang, Yan Wang, Jeongwoo Song, Alice Pocinkova, Arpita Mathapati, Seongyoon Kim, Jimin Kim, Zeina Hassanin, Ahmäd Hassan, Emil Gödeker, Aarav Bhatia, Atharv Bhat, Shaurya Baliga, Marc-Moenan, Maxime Schuster, Hosoo Kim. Our coaches Sigrid Dillenberger, Martina Dillenberger, Tabea Rockstein, Timm Kreuzig were very pleased about the high level of motivation and performance. The team spirit was exceptional. The feedback from the parents were also very positive. Congratulations to all coaches and swimmers involved.
On top we took part a swim competition in Hochheim. Our U14 and Varsity Swimmers came in third place and took the trophy proudly home beside many first places and personal best marks. A big ‘Thank you’ for coaching the tournament to Tabea Rockstein, Erinc Halimler and Lucia Magelli as well to Uta Liedtke and Shashank Gupta for refereeing the tournament in the German league meet.

Tennis Last weekend (April 14th-15th, 2018) SV ISF hosted a tennis friendly against the British School of Brussels from Belgium. The tournament took place indoors at the indoor venue ‘Sportpartk Kelkheim’ and outdoors on freshly set clay at Tennisverein Haßloch in Rüsselsheim. A total number of 15 Athletes took part in the competition, 8 of which represented our school club. Although the visitors gave a good fight, SV ISF varsity breezed through sealing 19 victories from 26 matches. The high level of excellence of SV ISF tennis was demonstrated by our players. Well done coaches Suzana Golubic and Kalden Harz. The tournament was a huge success and a good preparation before the Team heads out to Leipzig on the April 26th, 2018 for the 2018 GISST Tennis Competition with all eyes set on winning the Gold.
Outdoor Tennis will start from April 23rd. However please note that practice may be cancelled due to bad weather and national holidays. As we have a very tight schedule there will be no compensation offered for cancelled practice sessions. Thank you for your understanding.
Track & Field/Cross Country We would like to invite all GISST athletes to join a regional Track & Field competition, that will take place on Sunday, the April 29th in Bad Soden Neuenhain. This competition will be a great opportunity to qualify for specific running disciplines for our GISST tournament. We would appreciate it if you can participate as we also plan to run relays.
Students who signed up for the Run for language diversities (http://www.mehrsprachig-laufen.de/english.html) , which will be held in the splendid grounds of Niddapark in Frankfurt, also on April 29th will receive further details by next week.
Volleyball In Term III the focus will be on U14 girls and boys. A team of 9 girls and 6 boys have been set up. Girls will have training every Mondays and Wednesdays after school (4.30-6.00pm) and boys on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the same time. Training has already started.
The annual U14 Boys and Girls Volleyball Championships will be hosted at Berlin Brandenburg International School (BBIS) in Berlin on May 17th – 18th.
